using wood for fuel

Combustion base for Oak Hill Veneer. Biomass Combustion Systems designs and constructs the base to the dimensions of the required pressure vessel with the proper furnace volume. The base is then shipped to the customer's plant where the pressure vessel is placed on top of it.

using wood for fuel Oak Hill Veneer uses this 350 HP boiler from Biomass Combustion Systems to heat drying ovens, steam veneer logs and heat the plant.
using wood for fuel Fuel is brought over to the metering chute via a Patz conveyor.
using wood for fuel Two sets of photo eyes in the metering chute indicate when the Patz conveyor should bring fuel to the metering bin. At the bottom of the metering chute is a right hand/left hand screw conveyor which meters materials to the two firebox feeding augers. Narrower boilers only require one firebox feeding auger. The three water tanks visible on the catwalk are connected to the two firebox augers and metering chute for fire protection.
using wood for fuel Because of space limitations in an existing boiler room, the induced draft fan (white with yellow belt guard) was positioned in front of the cyclone collector. This fan automatically maintains negative pressure in the firebox via a variable speed drive.
